Gio Genesis has shared an engaging new single called “Wasting Away.” The New York artist, whose releases from earlier this year “Wither (Remix)” and “Shoot For Something” earned him acclaim and bolstered his continued rise in the underground music scene, provides another strong offering with “Wasting Away”, a poignantly written track that showcases his characteristically emotive, authentic style.
“Wasting Away” utilizes warm, nostalgic guitars to a great effect, underscoring Genesis’ heartfelt vocal performance smoothly. Genesis, however, is the star of the show as he bears his soul across the song’s two-and-a-half minute run time with melodies that are simply mesmerizing.
